Yesterday we bought these (in photo) at the store. Danny has been gobbling them up, he loves them. This was our first time trying them. They are pricey but filled with fabulous nutrition. I always say to myself, when buying more expensive vegetables, “it’s cheaper than doctors by far. I’d rather pay a little more to try and stay healthy than pay a lot more to be sick.”

On that line of thought, one of my girl friends recently told me about this exercise class she’s been going to. She lit up when she spoke about it. She said, “I go four times a week and love it. It’s a whole hour and I sweat my butt off. But it goes by so quickly cause I’m having so much fun!”

I said, “that’s great!”

“Yea,” she says, “but the three months are up soon. I got a Groupon. I don’t think I’ll continue…”

“Why not?”

“It’s so expensive!”

“How much is it?”

“It’s really pricey. $120.00 a month!”

“Hum…can you afford it?”

“Well, Yea, but that’s a ton of money…”

“If you consider a doctor appointment if you get sick or a therapist just once a month could be that much or more it’s really cheap. If this keeps you healthy it’s a bargain. And if you love it…”

“I didn’t think about it that way. That’s a really good point.”

The moral to the story is that spending money on your health is far wiser than having to spend money on your illness. Staying healthy takes money and effort. But being sick can cost a whole heck of a lot more and drastically change your life…and NOT in a good way. Think about it.
