DESCRIPTION:Join others for a gentle guided meditation for peace on Earth. This is inspired by the holidays and the new year. This is a beautiful way to see the potential of humanity and the world. \nFamilies and children 10 or older are welcome to come. \nPlease rsvp and if you can no longer attend please change your rsvp. There is preparation for events. Also\, the attendance here is not a reflection on the number of people attending. We also post on another meet up\, my Facebook page and my web site. \nThere are costs involved as well as our time to provide these events. I ask for a $10 contribution for attending. If that is not feasible then whatever amount you can afford is appreciated.

DESCRIPTION:The fourth Sunday of each month we will be having a guided meditation with the company of dogs followed by a short discussion. Whether you are new to meditation or meditate regularly I hope you will consider joining us. Pet therapy is a well known type of therapy to calm and lower blood pressure. There will be calm dogs and possibly some other animals there as well. Calm\, quiet\, dog and people friendly dogs are welcome. Please make sure to BE PROMPT. We will give everyone an extra ten minutes to arrive. We are asking for a $5.00 donation to attend. The donation will go to Animal Education and Rescue\, a local humane society. \nThis meditation is open to adults and children 10 and older who can stay seated for the allotted time. \nPlease bring a yoga mat\, blanket or towel. \nWe will be upstairs tucked into the corner of the store.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a quiet and relaxing art meditation. We will have a variety of supplies to choose from…colored pencils\, paints\, paper\, rocks…for you to paint and color. This is NOT a “art” class but instead a meditative art therapy. It’s a wonderful way to just relax and be in the moment. Everyone will work on whatever they want while just concentrating on their breathing\, slowing down and relaxing. Meet new people and find inner peace. This is open to women AND men and mature children over 8. We just ask that everyone talk quietly or just focus on their breathing and what they are doing. \nBarbara’s Bookstore is at Hawthorn Mall in Vernon Hills.  We’ll be in the coffee house.
